VisionBroadcast Timeline
1995 — VisionBroadcast Launches
VisionBroadcast begins in New York City as one of the early independent music websites during the emergence of the commercial internet. The site features artist interviews, photography, message boards, and early experiments with streaming audio and video.
1996–1997 — Los Angeles Music Festival®
The Los Angeles Music Festival® is launched, presenting shows at venues across the Sunset Strip including the Troubadour, Whisky A Go Go, Viper Room, and Billboard Live. In 1997 VisionBroadcast streams live multicamera video programming from Billboard Live to global audiences during the early era of internet broadcasting.
2004 — Los Angeles Music Festival Returns
A new edition of the Los Angeles Music Festival® is produced at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, featuring performances across three stages and continuing the festival’s tradition of showcasing emerging and independent artists.
2015 — VisionBroadcast Music Network
The VisionBroadcast internet radio station launches to extend the Los Angeles Music Festival concept as a global music platform — a “music festival network” designed to support future live events. The station continues to carry the Los Angeles Music Festival® name on certain streaming platforms and station liners, reflecting its origins as the festival’s digital media network.
